live from hong kong airport

glad i got a free wi-fi connection...but pity there are no compatible power ports out here :( anyway, sitting here, waiting for my flight boarding to start...another 20-25 minutes i assume. i haven't been much of a traveller, but last one year has been pretty high flying for me. 3 trips outside country...2 trips from one coast to another in US...3 domestic travels...things have looked good...and i hope this trend continues! i seem to have a liking for flying...anyway...the flight from SFO to Hong Kong was pretty long, about 15-16 hours...managed to sleep for 2 movies...but watched ratatoulie successfully! it was nice...had a nice gentleman to my right (i borrowed his cell to make a call to appu) and a asian on left who got a face mask out of his pocket right after i had a sudden bout of unstoppable sneezes! after a while, i see him with a tissue roll blowing his nose...hehe poor guy! i never knew cold could pass so fast!! the food was pretty good...liked it more than i did in emirates and singapore airlines...(have travelled only once on both!)...the seats seemed a bit too cramped but i guess even thats a luxury when you are travelling by economy class! one of my team mates was given a business class upgrade...i wonder when i will run into luck like that!!
well i have been missing in action on 360 for quite some time...my only blog which i maintain regularly...atleast i assume...have a count of 2617 visitors out of which i am sure my own IP accounts to more than half!! left one episode half way thru...need to finish it before my memory starts developing bad sectors...lately i have a stinking feeling that my brain has slowed down...my reaction/response time have reduced drastically...i hope thats just a passing phase...i don't want to get old so soon...what i have heard is that you never loose you memory, you just choose to forget it! few memories might hit you like a bullet even after a decade...and few loose their fizz within seconds...i wonder why? i wonder why we choose to give importance to few occurances in our lives and few others cease to exist.
had a 2 and a half months stay in United States of America...its a nice country, esp most of its ppl, aleast the senior people...one of the most friendlist bunch i have ever seen...its never too difficult to pick up a conversation with anyone! why! like the other day, i bumped into someone and we started talking about some crazy thing which i dont remember right now...and hey! one more thing i notice, why does it become tough to remember something especially when you want to remember it? i swear in a casual conversation offline my brain would have blurted out the topic which me and that guy had a talk on...but now?? its blank!! i just cant force myself to remember!!
its early morning here in hongkong...and i assume its the mist outside which is reducing my visibility...i recall that from this very place, you can see the shoreline of hong kong city and i also remember seeing a trolley way going up a mountain and huge towers of probably apartment complexes near the airport...like the SFO airport, while landing in hong kong too, you can nearly have your heart miss a beat if you see the plane so close in height to the sea level...but i guess its the life and duty and the sheer ability of the pilot to control something so huge so effortlessly...you ask me, i would say i cant' even drive a bus on the streets of hyderabad! or rather a SUV...
there goes the call! i got to board now...another few hours i will be home!! desperate...missing home, missing family...missing rajeev and friends...also, a big event of my life is coming up soon...i need to be all prepared for it...and ofcourse i wanna eat a burger at KFC too...!!
