my craze for rock climbing

haven't taken a pic yet inside the gym, but gonna do that pretty soon. i am absolutely in love with this place. i didn't know about planet granite any before, else would have joined it a lot earlier.
it was courtesy shaggie who kept talking DC and me into trying rock climbing. i was very keen, and i jumped in to take the offer. got my first belay lesson free since shaggie was a member and from that day on!! no looking back...
i can bet, 90% of the people who try it once, will come back again for sure. the place is just amazing. once you are on a wall and trying to climb a route...the adrenaline rush to conquer it and reach the top is awesome.
what do you do on a treadmill or weights? you keep running running running with nothing going on in your mind and just looking here and there waiting for the calories to burn and miles to increase. weights? you keep lifting the same old dumb-bells again and again and again while looking at yourself in the mirror...yeah right..some exercise.
now think about this. you are trying to achieve something, get to a place, conquer a height...do something new every time and feel satisfied. feel good that you have done it. you have overcome a 30-60 feet wall with challenges enough to keep your mind running all the time!!
i am telling you! the feeling is really something else...from the day i joined, i have seen 7 of my friends get hooked to it!! its something which is definitely not easy to resist.
there are various routes. few easy ones, few difficult ones, few tricky ones, and few which look nothing short of impossible!! but its fun. from the initial day where the phobia of heights is pre-dominant and the idea of where you'd fall down makes your heart beat more than usual. to the days when you start pushing your limits and try knocking off as many routes as possible and keep getting to the next level and get that feeling...a feeling of "i did it!!"
one day, i would love to take this to the open world...try this on a raw mountain or the edge of a cliff...and feel...peaceful !!

my feeling down under

i had buffalo wings dipped in some sauce
trust me, they were the hottest in the shop

12 pieces of wings were to be eaten in 6 minutes flat
were to be awarded a t-shirt for eating so fast

me and pranay were up for the task
didn't realize the effects that would last

i was given a balm for my lips
what could be the solution for the problem under my hips

fire blazed from most of my outlet body parts
water drinks hard and soft were of no use at all

for the next few days evertime i tried
felt my ass burning and couldn't help but cry

my mouth and throat couldnt withstand the pain at all
the consolation is that my picture was put up on the wall

Me : Sir, definitely less than the guy in front of me!!!

Scene 2:
Cop: You know how fast you were going?
Me: Sir, definitely less than the speed you were at to catch me!!
SCREWEDDDDDDDDDDD!!

Scene 3:
Cop: Why were you speeding?
Me : I thought I was being tailgated, I didn't know it was you!!!
SCREWED YET AGAIN

now this is something shady :)...one of the most peaceful places in the world, yes, the men's restroom at work...where i spend half my time :P just kidding!! there is one thing i would love to say to the guy who gives me a look when i flush before doing what i went in to do...dehydration

me : (flushh, before i dehydrate)
guy1 : (staresss at me)
me : what ?
guy1 : did you know, you shouldn't waste water
me : well, i was trying to use the water which the guy before me tried to save...!!!

well, i never got a chance yet...but will love to say so sometime!! :D

biker community

ever since i have been riding my bike...i noticed something different...people never nodded at me or said how'd mate in the middle of the road when i drove a mini or a Mitsubishi

but now, i see people giving me a thumbs up...a how'd at a stop sign by a fellow biker...a nod from other cruiser lovers...a nod to appreciate our choice of ride...

i am not sure if sports bikers also share something similar, or i would guess they just go too fast to notice such subtle things...for them life goes in the fast lane...but for a cruiser guy, its more about enjoying the ride than the speed :)

one of the most boring days

i did absolutely nothing today. nothing not in the literal terms. well i did play TT, went out for lunch and shoreline park with my team mate. spoke to my manager at lengths about my future plans. but still, i did absolutely nothing.

coming to office and not doing any substantial work is really depressing. i know, who doesn't like to get paid for doing nothing.
i do. but i don't like it.
