the great indian attitude

i drive a car, there is a pedestrian on the road
i wouldn't slow, and i hit him hard
i don't stop, because i don't care

i sit in a bus, riding so high
i have something in my mouth
and i need to spit right away
it lands on someone, but i don't care

i ride a bike, i wear no gear
i don't stop for red lights
and throw caution to wind
why do i do it? hell, i don't care!

i like to agitate and be called a mob
i throw stones at buildings and
burn all buses i see around
millions wasted for no proper cause
but you know what, i just don't care

i ride, i drive, i do what others do
and follow rules? nah, that's a lie
but i feel bad, that's why i write
i bow my head in shame for being the same
i do care, but i don't at the same time

its the great indian attitude and i know i am no better than the crowd outside
